Club Policy

Walton-on-Thames Cricket Club is fully accredited under the England & Wales Cricket Board’s Clubmark scheme. Clubmark means that the Club has demonstrated commitment to junior development and meeting the benchmarks for a high quality community club cricket.
Our objective is to promote, organise and encourage amateur cricket in the local area and community participation in the same. We aspire to be recognized as the leading club for junior development in the area. We provide a fun and safe, supportive and encouraging environment for all children, from all backgrounds and of all abilities.
We have an organised structure, sound procedures, a designated Welfare Officer (approved by Surrey Cricket) plus ECB qualified and DBS checked coaches (levels 1, 2 and 3).
Clubmark also requires the club to have a development plan in place to promote cricket in the local community and provide a vibrant environment for playing cricket at all levels.
Walton-on-Thames Cricket Club is run by local community volunteers and we are always pleased to hear from individuals, organisations and businesses that can contribute in any way to help build a sustainable club for current and future generations.

The England and Wales Cricket Board has issued a number of directives relating to cricket for young people. These govern the number of overs that a medium or fast bowler may deliver consecutively, the wearing of protective helmets for batsmen and wicket-keepers and field placings for young people.

As a responsible club, we adhere to all of these directives.
